The journal recognises the growing use of generative artificial intelligence (AI) tools in academic writing, data analysis, and research support. This policy defines acceptable and unacceptable uses of AI technologies in the preparation, review, and publication of manuscripts to ensure transparency, accountability, and academic integrity.

Permitted Use of Generative AI

Generative AI tools (such as language models or automated writing assistants) may be used by authors only as supportive tools for:

  • Language editing and grammar improvement
  • Improving clarity, readability, and structure of the manuscript
  • Assisting with translation of text (if professionally verified)
  • Formatting assistance (e.g., references, tables)

In all cases, the intellectual content, interpretation, analysis, and conclusions must be developed by the authors themselves. AI tools cannot be listed as authors or co-authors under any circumstances.

Mandatory Disclosure

Authors must clearly disclose the use of generative AI tools in the manuscript (e.g., in the Acknowledgements or Materials and Methods section). The disclosure should specify:

  • The name of the AI tool used
  • The purpose of its use
  • The extent of its contribution

Failure to disclose AI usage may be treated as a breach of publication ethics.

Prohibited Use of AI

The use of generative AI is strictly prohibited for:

  • Generating scientific results, data, or research findings
  • Creating or fabricating datasets or experimental outcomes
  • Writing entire manuscripts without substantial human authorship
  • Producing misleading, inaccurate, or unverifiable content
  • Manipulating images, figures, or research data in a deceptive manner

Any detection of such practices may result in rejection, retraction, or notification of relevant institutions.

Responsibility of Authors

Authors remain fully responsible for the accuracy, originality, and integrity of all content submitted to the journal, regardless of whether AI tools were used during preparation. The use of AI does not reduce or transfer authors’ accountability.

Editorial and Peer Review Use

Generative AI tools are not used by editors or reviewers to evaluate manuscripts or make editorial decisions. All peer review and editorial assessments are conducted exclusively by qualified human experts in accordance with the journal’s ethical standards.

Ethical Standards

The journal follows COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) recommendations regarding the responsible use of artificial intelligence in scholarly publishing. All AI-related practices must align with principles of transparency, reproducibility, and academic honesty.
